The Layout

Below is a floor plan of the rooms in which I keep my plants.  I try to keep the plants in a window sill as appropriate to the type of light the plant needs.  If a plant is supposed to get all-day/southern-light, I will put it in the living or dining room, which is really one big open space, that way it receives direct sunlight half of the day and a significant amount of ambient indirect light the other half of the day.  The kitchen and study are better for plants which require less light, since the kitchen is only bright in the evenings and the study is only bright in the mornings.
